Stamp to the MAX Holiday Blog Hop - December

Hello All !

I hope that you and yours had a lovely Thanksgiving! Ours was too quiet for my taste and I made waaaay too much food - but it was still nice.

Thank you for visiting the next stop on the hop! You have just come from the blog of the amazing Martha Haddock. I always like her style! This month we were tasked with making a holiday themed gift. Mine is a decoration and I love it so much, I am gifting it to me! :)

This took me some time but was really quite easy. I used my favorite Christmas DSP and the Blossom Petals Builder Punch. I curled the edges with a pen and used a lot of sticky strip! Toward the top - the petals were to big to leave the same size so I hand cut them down. I used a glue pen to hit the petals a bit and poured the glitter on. Of course after I did this, I realized that the Dazzling Details might have been easier! Unfortunately the glitter doesn't show well on the camera.

Supplies used are all Stampin' Up! unless noted.
  • 12" Chip Board Cone - Not SU
  • Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Sticky Strip
  • Blossom Petals Builder Punch
  • 3 1/2" Scallopped Tulle Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler
  • Two-Way Glue Pen
  • Dazzling Details Glitter

Please continue on our December Blog Hop to the next stop of Stephanie Bradley! You are sure to be inspired!

November Card Class...

I am finally getting to post the cards we made at class. (I know - what a slacker!) One of these cards you have seen because I did it for the Blog Hop last month. A few card class members liked it so why re-create the wheel? I hope you enjoy! Next class is December 11 @ 7pm.

This is a simple card but still has some 'wow'! It looks much better in person because you can see the shimmer!

I love this card. The photo doesn't do it justice and it's so glamorous! I have to admit - I cased this one. I loved it so much, I couldn't help myself!
Stamp Sets: None - can you believe it? A few put a Christmas
Sentiment inside but they varied

I am SO buying this!

Have you considered purchasing a Big Shot but didn't want to spend the money? Well, it's on sale Monday Nov 19th only for 20%. (whoo hoo!) But ..... there is an alternative! If you love the textured embossing folders like I do - this item will be so helpful!

This is called the Texture Boutique by Sizzix. Because of our special partnership with Sizzix, we are offering this to our demonstrators and customers for a limited time. This item embosses only. Personally I bought one to reduce the line for my Big Shot at card classes. It's a handy and portable item that will gop on the crafting table and can be passed around. It's pretty light and looks like a little purse!

We have 4,000 available to be sold only while supplies last. If this product test goes well, we may offer the Texture Boutique again in the future.

The Texture Boutique works with Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to transform ordinary cardstock, paper, metallic foil, or vellum into an embossed, textured masterpiece. Great holiday gift idea at a great price point!

Texture Boutique ......... $29.95, item code 132657
Comes with the machine, 2 embossing pads and Mylar Shim

Texture Boutique Bundle .....$39.95, item code 132700

LOTS! Going on at Stampin' Up!

These guys at Stampin' Up are keeping me busy. As some of you know, not only do I sell Stammpin' Up! as a demonstrator, but I also work in Demo Support at the corporate office. Contrary to popular belief - I don't know about things in advance - maybe a day or so if we need training, but not much! They are worried we will get too excited about things and blab... (who me?)

Anyway ........ guess what is coming your way?

Last but not least ..

This is the 3rd card we did at my class. I love cards that are simple but pretty. This card was just that. There is not a lot of actual stamping with this one, which is also why it was pretty fast. I used the paper piercer on the petals, near the pearls, but it is hard to tell in this picture. I also used the Word Window punch for the sentiment and flagged the end. It was easier to get a straight saying.

I was inspired by a card that Mary Fish produced here. I scaled it down so that it would fit into a traditional A2 envelope. I love how this turned out! Later, I tried it with a Basic Gray button.... I like it better! I hope you like it too!

All items are Stampin' Up!

  • Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Ink: Basic Gray
  • Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Very Vanilla
  • DSP: Howlstooth & Scaringbone
  • Tools: Big Shot with the Floral Framelits. Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Word Window punch
  • Accessories: Basic Pearl Basic Jewels, Large Pearl Basic Jewels, Brights Designer Buttons
  • Misc: dimensionals (my fave)

NEXT CLASS IS NOVEMBER 13, 2012 @ 7:00 PM.

YOUR CLASS IS FREE WITH $40 ORDER

Card Class tonight!

Well it was a success!

I had a group of 9 people so let's just say my craft room was "cozy".  I won't complain though because I have an awesome room!  I think that I may have to invest in another Big Shot though...

Next I would like to show you the second card the group did. This is a great Fall card and the sentiment can be changed for so many things. At class the people could choose the embossing folder like the sample or the woodgrain one. I liked it both ways so it's hard to choose!

All items are Stampin' Up!

  • Stamp Sets: Wonderfall & Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Ink: Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso, Garden Green & More Mustard
  • Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla & Core'dinations Card Stock in Early Espresso
  • Papers: Orchard Harvest DSP, First Edition DSP
  • Accessories: Linen Thread & Brushed Bronze Designer Buttons
  • Tools: Autumn Accents BigZ Die, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, Modern Label punch, Stampin' Sanding System
  • Misc: Dimensionals & glue dots

Prepping for class...

Hello and Happy Monday!

Do the words happy and Monday really belong together? It's kind of unatural!

Anyway.... Tuesday is my first card class of the season. I had classes before but only sporadically. My goal is to have one the second Tuesday of every month. If you are interested, please let me know!

Below  is one of the cards that we will be making in class this week. It's super cute and I love how it turned out! (minus one thing that we are not discussing!) This card was posted by Nancy Riley as one she liked. I changes up a few things. The name on the card is Aimee Crets...something. The font makes it hard to read. Sorry!

Gift with Purchase!

This kind of advertising reels me in every time! I love to shop and if I am going to buy anyway - I like that I get more for my money. My husband says it's 'girl math' but I don't care. You tell me he's not gonna jump on a two for one chili dog sale! Anyway ..... Stampin' Up! has a great promotion this month from the Holiday Catalog. If you purchase the Ornament Keepsake stamp set and Candlelight Christmas DSP ... or..... the Ornament Keepsake Bundle that includes the DSP and coordinating Framelits, you get the matching Festive Paper Piercing Pack for FREE! Contact me so I can get you started.

Welcome to the October STamp to the MAX Blog Hop!

Hello everyone!

Thank you for continuing the hop. You just left the amazing work of Martha Haddock.

Fall is in the air and the leaves are turning into golden gems in the Utah mountains. This is my favorite time of year and I was really inspired for this card. I hope you like it too!

There are tons of things going on with this card - but it doesn't look too busy. (at least not to me!) The neatest thing is the use of the Natural Composition Paper sponged with Pacific Point. It really changes the paper up! Below is a list of supplies used:

  • Stamp Sets: Perfectly Preserved, Day of Gratitude & Simply Serif Alphabet
  • CS: Pacific Point, More Mustard, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla.
  • Inks: Pacific Point, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
  • DSP: Orchard Harvest & Natural Composition
  • Tools: Framelits - Cannery Set, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, the 3/8" Circle punch from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.
  • ETC: Linen Thread, dimensionals, sponging, distressed edging

I hope that you liked my card and that you continue to the next stop on the blog hop, the talented Christina Mansker!

Daydream Medallion Birthday

I wanted to make a card for my lovely friend Wendy, who has a birthday this Friday. The problem? We do a lot of the same card classes together so every card I had - she has seen and made herself! I really wanted to use the new Specialty DSP - Natural Composition. This was my first time using it and although it's not the focal point - it really has pop!

I really love this card but can't take the credit for the design. I cased this from Jen Sannes at www.simpleandsincere.com I love her work! I changed some of the colors slightly and the sentiment, but otherwise the same. This is what was used:
Stamps: Daydream Medallions Paper: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, First Edition Specialty DSP, Natural Composition Specialty DSP
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Big Shot, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Floral Frames Framelits, Dotted Scallop ribbon border punch, Regals Designer Buttons

Using your supplies

Hello everyone! It's been a rough few months and I am so ready for an upswing! I made my last (hopefully) trip to Memphis to settle my mother's estate. It's not over but I shouldn't have to travel anymore for it. Anyway .... I knew I would have some hotel time to stamp. As much as I wanted to use new items, I had so many leftovers from classes or old projects that I felt that this was the time to make use of them. Below are two cards that I did - and I made several of each. They are both simple and masculine and both use current and retired products. I love that I actually accomplished something and used these precut items before they got dusty and discolored. Yay me! I hope you enjoy them.

You KNOW you want to!

Ladies and Gents! If there was ever a time to join Stampin' Up! Now is it! If you join in the Month of August, you get this super cute Halloween Printers Tray kit. The starter kit is only $99 and you get $125 in stuff. New since June - you get your choice of what goes into your kit! It used to be pre-determined, but you could swap out stamp sets that you may have already had. Now - you can get the BIG SHOT!! You could get every ribbon we make! (maybe) You could get a variety of your chosing - whatever you want. Call or text or email me and I can get you started. Below is the 'Corporate' picture of the kit and the second photo is one I took up close and personal when I was at Convention.

Yes - It's been forever!

Sorry to you, my stampy friends, that I have not posted in a very long time. My confidence level of blogging is way lower than actual card-making! (thank goodness!) The main reason for my absence is that my mother passed away. It was pretty unexpected and being the only child... everything is in my hands. My mom lived out of state as well so anything that needs to be done is done long distance or I travel. It's been very hard but I have had support from my wonderful hubby and many friends, so I will be good eventually.

Sunday, Sunday....

Hello! Well it's Sunday at the Fennewald house and I am cleaning. Oh joy! We're having a few people over tomorrow so I am doing my best to make sure my house doesn't look occupied by 3 dogs, 1 cat, a wonderful but messy husband and my 26 year old niece whose definition of a clean room differs from mine. I am posting a few cards today. Enjoy!

Stamps used: Winter Post, Lovely as a Tree & ....... gosh darn that ornament! I'll figure it out
Stamp used: Elements of Style

This a quilt card made with the Top Note die, one of mt favorites. Everything here but the die is old but it's still a cute card!

Loving Thoughs stamp set

This was made with an A la Carte stamp called ... Full Sail. I love this and wish we still carried it.

This is a Valentines day card I made for my husband.

Day 2

Ok - Once I can figure out how to make this blog look like something than a 3 years olds homework, I will be happy. I finally have a background but my header looks like _ _ _ _. My font for the title is beautiful, until I post then it reverts back to something else.

I would love to add pictures of beautiful cards .... maybe tomorrow! Until then, I leave you a picture of my fur babies.

Welcome to my new blog!

Hello everyone!

I am taking my first step in a brave new (to me at least) world. I read blogs and keep hearing how easy it is but I beg to differ! I hope that by the time I am writing my 10th post, all of the stuggles will be old hat!

I am an Independent Demonstrator with Stampin' Up! and have been for a few years. I started as a hobbyist but am hoping to expand my hobby into something more. Stampin' Up! has such quality products and customer service that I am hard pressed to look elsewhere. Our current catalog ends on May 31st, 2012 so if you have any favorites, I would get them while you can!
